Maria Karra is a dedicated humanitarian and advocate for social change, currently focusing on the intersection of climate justice and homelessness. Her extensive experience in both the corporate and non-profit sectors, spanning the Middle East and South East Asia, has established her as a leader in addressing homelessness, particularly in the context of climate change. As the Greek representative for FEANTSA (the European Federation of National Organizations Working with the Homeless) and a board member of the Greek Network for the Right to Shelter and Housing, Maria spearheads initiatives that tackle the impact of climate change on vulnerable housing and homelessness. She is the co-founder of Emfasis, a Greek non-profit dedicated to addressing these critical issues, and remains a tireless champion for the rights of people experiencing homelessness.
